Changing cities and schools is never easy for children. Leaving behind his friends, school, and his room to move to Bursa deeply upsets Toprak. A new home, a new school, new neighbors, and the apartment rules, efforts to make friends, and his grandmother—whose “processor” sometimes malfunctions due to her illness—all become part of Toprak’s new life. Toprak tries to make sense of it all with childlike innocence and sensitivity. Will he be able to adapt to his new life?
Lost Garden Apartment – The Day Everything Changed
Toprak moves with his family to Bursa to live with his grandmother. His grandmother’s house has been turned into an apartment building due to urban transformation and renamed Lost Garden Apartment. Their move to Bursa opens the doors to the adventures they will experience in this apartment building. However, as her grandmother gradually forgets everything due to Alzheimer’s, she struggles to adapt to this new apartment and her surroundings, often behaving like a child. Toprak befriends Zeynep, who has a special condition called cerebral palsy. While discovering the importance of friendship, cooperation and sharing, Toprak and Zeynep also learn about traditions and customs. Every day is a new adventure in the Lost Garden Apartment, where very different characters live.
